Plans for a proper observance of Mother’s Day, on May 14th, have been made by the Sunday School and Church.

The plans in brief are to convene the Sunday School at 9:30 instead of 11:00 O’clock.  All families and individuals are asked to bring only enough lunch for themselves and friends invited by them.  Immediately after the Morning Service, the entire Sunday School and Church membership will proceed to Mason Park, where we will eat lunch together in the open.  In the afternoon, there will be races, contests, games and a free-for-all baseball game.  Various prizes will be offered.  Mr. P.R. Boebel is in charge of the program.  The Sunday School workers will make a special effort to get all parents, especially the mothers, of all S.S. children to be at the Morning Service and the picnic.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE PIANO IS PAID FOR

Let everyone chime in on the doxology!  The thorn in the flesh has been removed.  The piano is paid for.  It was bought in October, 1930 and cost $450.00.  We were allowed $95.00 on our old piano and Mr. Kirschke gave the church the benefit of $95.00 credit with the piano company which he won in a contest.  Several individuals kept paying a dollar a month on the debt.  Recently, the Brotherhood came to the rescue and with the help of the Women’s Missionary Society and the Sunday School, paid it off.
